Basic Program Instructor
Ben Willoughby Ben has been at Gilly's since 1997. He is certified as an Advance Physical Fitness Specialist by the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas, as
well as holding a certificate in Biomechanics of Strength Training. Other accolades include certification by the National Strength and Training Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. (CSCS).
Athletically, Ben has competed as a basketball and track and field athlete at both the high school collegiate level. He has competed in local as well as National Powerlifting meets.
- 1996 - National Champion, (220 lb. class) 18-19 Juniors (USPF). - 1997 APF State Champion. (242lb. class) - 1998 APF 2nd place State Champion. (242 lb) Juniors
- Member of USPF World Championship US Men's Team (Salzburg, Austria) Support Staff. Ben is currently a Social Studies teacher at Erskine Academy in South China, Maine. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History
from University in Southern Maine in December of 1998. He works at Gilly's part time. Vicki Gardner Police Fitness Instructor certified by the Criminal Justice Academy. Active as a Fitness Instructor for the
Maine State Police. Certified as a Personal Trainer through Cooper Institute of Aerobic Research in Dallas, Texas. David Witham Oakland native, age 50, 25 years experience in the weightlifting/bodybuilding field.
Long distance cyclist, Tour-de-Cure veteran, 5 year Trek across Maine veteran. Placed second place in his weight class in the year 1982 Mr. Vacation Land Bodybuilding competition.
Placed fourth in the 1983 Mr. Maine Bodybuilding competition. Placed second in the 1987 Maine State Powerlifting meet. Arlene Comber Responsible for all clerical duties required by the gym.
First place in Maine Masters powerlifting for 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1997. First place in National Masters Powerlifting in 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1997.
Physical Evaluation Specialists Sheridan Oldham, MD Sheridan "Sheri" Oldham is a practicing surgeon and wife of Gilly's owner, Ernie Gilbert. Previously a competitive powerlifter, Sheri holds certification in biomechanics and advanced physical fitness
from Cooper's Institute of Aerobic Research. She also has earned certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Although interested in all aspects of physical conditioning, Sheri particularly
